As of today, it seems that EVE is not using a point (".") anymore for ammounts of isk cents but a coma (","). When I try to copy-paste the recommended price from Mentat to my orders, this fails. It looks like Mentat tries to paste a "." into the EVE client even though in Mentat itself the ammounts are shown with comma's.
This effectively renders Mentat useless for fast order updating.
Ps, posted this on the Mentat site also.
Edit: dunno if this is a change done on purpose by CCP but I expect a lot of bitching about it so would not be surprised if they turn it back :P |

And to prevent future problems on this subject. Maybe it's a good idea to have an option in Mentat on how it pastes decimals into the EVE client? |

6ie wrote:Works fine for me. Maybe its your locale setting in windows? Using "United States (international)" as keyboard setting. Worked fine till today. In EVE online client the "." doesn't work anymore in market orders either.
What settings are you using if I may ask? |

Thart wrote: Thanks for report. I'll take a look tonight.
Some details: I'm using a Dutch version of Windows 7, EVE client language is set as English. Keyboard is a "United States (international)" one. Only thing that seems to work so far is setting the "notation settings" to English (United States). Mentat works as b4 then and the EVE client let's me use the "." key on the numpad again. |

Weed Probe wrote:I have the same problem with the comma and dots, can't use EVE Mentat until that is fixed, have to update orders manually sadly. If you can make us able to choose if we want to paste our prices with commas or dots then it will solve the problem.
The workaround I mentioned doesn't work for you? That is: setting "notation settings" to English(United States). It screws up my dates in excell-sheets but at least I can Mentat for now :P
Edit: had a glimmer of hope the 1.1.1 patch of today had fixed the issue, but no such luck. Workaround is still effective for me though. |

I think CCP really screwed it up now.... It seems that when I use my local (Dutch) settings, I can't paste anything with a decimal separator of any kind anymore into a market order.... So I can't even test if the Mentat test build is working as intended.
Don't really have time to double check and fiddle now but will get back on this.
Edit: double checked and fiddled anyway, who needs sleep right? The EVE client will simply not let me paste any ammount of isk into the modify order textbox that has a separator in it as long as I use the Dutch notation settings. Can paste 1000 isk fine but 1000,01(comma) isk ends up just leaving an empty textbox. 1000.01(point) ends up as 100001 isk.
So yeah, no way to test if your new build works for me till CCP figures that one out.
*switches back to US notation settings* |

Thart wrote:Just have created detailed bug report to CCP after deep investigation of this issue.
For those who can't trade with this I recommend to configure price increment to 1.00 ISK in EVE Mentat, and remove all cents from every order's price. It's sad of course, but can be temporary workaround. Just be sure to update your tritanium buy orders manually ppl ;)

JohnHoe wrote:What would be a decent alternative to EVEMentat? The only reason I really used it was for the market order scanner. It's a pain in the ass managing close to 300 orders with out it. It appears there is no fix on the horizon so I guess I should move on to something that is working.
As far as I know: there are none :P Should there be any they are likely to have the same trbl till the libraries are updated. |
